Achieve personal loans: Rates, fees and eligibility in 2026

Achieve offers fixed-rate loans from $5,000 to $50,000, but its origination fee cuts into the money borrowers receive.

Achieve offers fixed-rate personal loans of $5,000 to $50,000, with advertised annual percentage rates (APRs) from 6.25% to 35.99% and repayment terms of two to five years. Its origination fee ranges from 1.99% to 9.99% and is deducted from the loan proceeds, so borrowers receive less than the amount they borrow.

The product may suit borrowers consolidating debt who want the lender to pay creditors directly, or who may qualify for a rate reduction by applying with a co-borrower. Achieve also lists eligible retirement assets as a possible way to lower the rate. The lender says members have reduced rates by up to 4 percentage points using these options collectively; it does not promise a particular reduction for any borrower.

What the loan costs

The advertised APR includes the applicable origination fee, making it a more useful comparison than the interest rate alone. Achieve’s lowest advertised APR of 6.25% is available only under conditions that include excellent credit, a loan below $12,000 and a 24-month term. Applicants should compare the APR and the proceeds they will actually receive with offers from other lenders.

Achieve does not list one uniform late-fee amount on its public product pages; the loan agreement controls. It says there is no prepayment penalty. Approved funds may be sent within 24 to 72 hours, though bank processing and verification can affect timing. The lender’s terms and availability vary by state, and loans are not offered everywhere.

Who may qualify

Achieve states that its minimum credit score for eligibility is 560. Debt-consolidation loans of $35,000 or more require a minimum score of 660. Meeting either score threshold does not ensure approval, and the lender does not publish one standard loan amount for every borrower; applicants must review their offer and agreement.

The $5,000 minimum rules out smaller borrowing needs. For eligible debt-consolidation loans, Achieve can send proceeds directly to creditors. Borrowers considering that option should also compare total borrowing costs: a lower monthly payment does not necessarily mean paying less overall. The lender offers a soft-pull rate check that does not affect a credit score.
